My passion is in supporting systems transformation organizations -- regardless of sector -- to do their best work through internal team development, processes, and structures deeply aligned with their values. To my leadership practice, I bring a strategic action orientation, balancing a nuanced understanding of organizational strategy with managing critical details across units; a management style prioritizing coaching and empathetic guidance, including with my fellow leadership team members; and data-based adaptive decision making grounded in my mixed methods research, budgeting and financial management, and organizational learning backgrounds. My impact within some of the largest development institutions and networks in the world showcases my ability to navigate and thrive in complex environments. I have 20 years of experience in international and community-led development across 9 countries, with special attention to supporting feminist movements. As Chief Operating Officer, I currently direct the Global Knowledge Initiative's systems innovation programming and learning initiatives, oversee operations and finance, and lead team member supervision and development. Prior to joining GKI in 2021, I advised and led consulting projects for USAID, the World Bank, development implementing partners in the US, Canada, Europe, & Australia, private foundations, and small civil society and women's rights organizations in the US and internationally. I served as as Senior Program Officer for Civil Society and Local Philanthropy at the Aga Khan Foundation from 2016-2019. A Returned Peace Corps Volunteer and former AmeriCorps volunteer with a travel bug, I have a Dual Master’s in Social Work and Public Policy and Administration focused on organizational management and program planning from Columbia University. I am professionally trained in ethical and feminist artificial intelligence, systems and network analysis, feminist monitoring and evaluation, organizational capacity development, USAID rules and regulations, and project management.
