As my daughters entered Middle School I realized that while there is an abundant amount of information for grade school students, the amount of resources available for Middle School students seemed a bit more scarce. When my husband and I welcomed our first daughter into our family, we were blessed to be able to be in a position where I was able to stay home full-time with our daughter. As she grew toward school age, we made the decision that home schooling would be the best choice for our family and I embraced the opportunity to serve as her primary teacher. I continued this path with our second daughter.Overwhelming as it was at times, I took on the task of identifying, creating, coordinating and delivering our daughters curriculum providing a solid educational base on which they grew.I am proud of my ability to take areas of interest of my daughters and develop and deliver planned educational studies around these various subjects including, but not limited to, American Girls, Book Clubs, Science, Etiquette and Geography. Often I was able to leverage our learning at home and share it with our local cooperatives.

Almost one year to the day after my previous company moved our family to Michigan, they shared that the company was moving back to Pennsylvania. My husband and I really enjoyed living in Ann Arbor, MI so we decided to stay and I was fortunate enough to be hired as part of our church staff, leading the youth ministry and assisting with Sunday worship.I enjoyed setting the strategic vision for the middle and high school student programs, planning and executing on weekly developmental and social activities, designing and facilitating biannual retreats that led to student personal growth. It was exciting to see the passion and engagement of the youth grow during my tenure in the role.I also served as the consultant for youth to the governing board of the church and helped lead worship each week.
