Curriculum development, meeting instructional goals and outcomes, designing rubrics, learning objectives, and cultivating an accessible learning environment for adult students are some key driving motivators, and best qualities in my career. About nine years in to my two decade career as a hairstylist, I identified that teaching was the path I wanted to pursue. Learning about instructional methods and curriculum development in the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (PIDP) solidified my interest in adult education and progressing in my career as an instructor. While wearing many hats professionally, it is eminent that sharing knowledge and aiding in someone's learning journey is where my foundation is built.
