About Meg Posner

As a child I was transfixed by Mr. Rogers for two reasons:1. He validated my passion for learning and inspiring others to learn. Using puppets, songs, books, and other imaginative methods to break down complex ideas and experiences. 2. His advice to 'look for the helpers' in an often scary world validated something I knew at my core (even as a child.) I'm one of those helpers. Naturally equipped with creativity, compassion, and a desire to empower. As an adult, I still aspire to be Mr. Rogers. Applying this goal to my career in the form of:- 8+ years of experience applying thoughtful and personalized attention to every customer and co-worker interaction. - 4+ years of experience coordinating and directing educational simulations for medical students and faculty. Leading each experience to create a safe and encouraging environment for learning. - 2+ years of experience sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding students for higher education programs. Identifying and empowering their unique strengths and providing resources to help them achieve success. I've worked in six very different departments within the University of California, San Diego. Hired on specifically for my strengths in: - Learning and adapting quickly in demanding and high-stress environments- Collaborating with team members to efficiently run educational experiences- Organizing and managing logistics for large scale projects - Crafting clear and concise written and verbal communication to provide otherwise complex instructions to a diverse group of people. - Troubleshooting technical problems under pressure - Gaining a reputation as the lighthouse in a storm. In moments of chaos caused by an unexpected conflict or problem, I'm the go-to for calm, de-escalation or quick resolution. Empowering and educating others informs my personal life too. I use my website, Nutmeg & Whimsy, to endorse a lifestyle of curiosity, as it pertains to oneself and the world. I fuel my curiosity by reading every book within reach and experimenting with different mediums of art. And yes, I do own a red cardigan.
