    - Write laser cutting and QuickVision ELF measurement programs to support new product introduction and quick turns in the laser cutting value stream.- Created and implemented an NPI and QT checklist for transfer of new parts to production. This has drastically reduced NPI and QT quality issues and late shipments for the laser area and was used as a model for all other value streams.- Troubleshoot production problems through working closely with operators to improve quality and up-time on machines. Utilized a data driven approach to problem solving and decision making.- Developed, OQ'd, and PQ'd new laser cutting processes for plastic and machined parts. Collaborated with a custom equipment manufacturer to automate and add vision capabilities to these products. Both were outside the standard work for the site and opened up new opportunities for quoting parts in the future.

Throughout the program, experience was gained in Device Design and Evaluation (product specification, dFMEA, design verification), New Product Development and Launch (OQ, PQ, pFMEA, fixture design), Continuous Improvement (Six Sigma & Lean), Automation, Quality (complaints, CAPAs, root cause analysis tools), and Project Management.Familiarity with a variety of manufacturing processes was gained, including Laser processing, Injection Molding, Machining, EDM, Final & Sub-Assembly, Cleaning, and Inspection.Salem, VA – Developed and tested parameters for laser ablation, welding, and adhesive processes for a renal denervation device sub-assembly. Reduced build times by ~10% from initial quote through fixture and process improvements. Completed DOEs, OQs, PQs, and product launch. Nominated for internal Builder's award for project success.Brooklyn Park, MN – Designed and manufactured components for an IS4 connector. Developed and executed laser welding and plastic injection molding validation for cardiology and neurology devices. Completed continuous improvement projects in the laser and machining areas to reduce re-work and non-value added processes. Estimated to eliminate 400 hours/year of rework, reduce NCRs, improve part quality, and increase capability.Wilmington, MA – Integrated into a customer product team as an embedded engineer to accelerate a 9 month product launch to 5 months. Acted as a liaison between the customer and the manufacturing facility and supported customer design verification and validation in addition to site validations and builds. Successfully launched 16 product lines. Supported a suture passer and a mammary microcatheter project as a design engineer and gained exposure to set-based design and creating and executing design verification testing.
