Dr. Megan Rustad, a Board Certified Endodontist, is an Associate Partner at Integrative Endodontics in Santa Monica. Dr. Rustad provides integrative, patient-centered endodontic care, more commonly known as root canal therapy. Offering general practice endodontic services as well as advanced care, Dr. Rustad performs both remedial retreatment of previous root canals and specialized endodontic microsurgery using the most advanced endodontic technologies available with materials and treatments that are compatible with natural healing. This includes the safest and most advanced chemical-free dental technologies available, including Cone Beam 3D imaging, microsurgery, laser treatment and regenerative therapies when in conjunction with endodontic procedures. Dr. Rustad received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree, with honors, from the UCLA School of Dentistry, one of the top dental schools in the nation. Dr. Rustad gained further advanced training in a general practice residency at the Veterans Administration - Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center in North Hills. After working as a general dentist in West Hollywood, she followed her true passion, specializing in Endodontics at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC. Dr. Rustad is passionate about her profession and her ability to deliver the highest level of endodontic care. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, she has attained a distinction achieved by only 20% of endodontists nationwide. She is also a member of the American Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, and the California Dental Association. With a warm, calming manner, she spends time to make each patient feel at ease. Her experience, attention to detail, and reassuring demeanor routinely leave her patients wondering how root canals ever received such a bad reputation. Dr. Rustad is a mother to three daughters, an avid hiker, a surfer, and the proud owner of a dachshund. She shares the joys of parenting with her husband, Tregg.
