Shield Casework is a startup headquartered in Kansas City who manufactures solid surface casework, headwalls, lockers and other architectural products. We work as a turnkey partner for both architects and general contractors focusing primarily on the healthcare and sports/entertainment industries.

Student Paths is a program designed to help prepare high school students in the areas of college, career, and life readiness. The program is integrated into high school curriculum through a variety of subject areas. I managed a two state territory creating and cultivating relationships with high school principals and educators in order to increase the number of students participating in the SP program. I also provided marketing support for company-wide efforts.

Warrensburg, Mo

The University of Central Missouri is a four-year public institution in Warrensburg, Missouri. The university serves nearly 12,500 students from 49 states and 59 countries on its 1,561-acre campus. As the on-campus representative, I traveled to a territory of 25 top feeder high schools to promote the University and lead students through the admissions process. I also met with visiting prospective students and families on campus, spoke in front of large audiences on visit days, played several leadership roles on hiring committees, and partnered with University Relations to provide marketing support to the Admissions Office.

Midwest Dairy represents more than 9,100 dairy farm families to nearly 38 million consumers across 10 Midwestern states. The nonprofit organization is financed and directed by dairy farmers. I was able to gain hands on experience managing social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, and TweetDeck. I also led the sponsorship planning for a large dairy event and gained project management experience. My role included public relations responsibilities such as writing press releases and providing creative support to the Dairy Farm Mom Network.

I was a part of an energetic team that provided a positive and informative first impression of the university. After engaging with the prospective student or parent, I coordinated a detailed personalized agenda for their visit. In addition to planning individual visit days, I also played a leadership role in the coordination of large campus visit days. During visit events, I provided unique and enthusiastic campus tours and spoke on student panels responding to questions and concerns in a positive and professional manner.

Established in 1989, Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street Inc. (DLSMS) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the revitalization of Downtown Lee’s Summit, Missouri. I assisted with the coordination of the large community event, Downtown Days. I also helped manage volunteer committees, develop promotional material, cultivate relationships with store owners and vendors, and develop marketing material. My t-shirt design and slogan was selected to promote the summer concert series.
