I am a postdoctoral researcher at Boston University School of Medicine, where I apply my PhD in Genetics & Genomics and Immunology to the field of molecular oncology. My current research focuses on the role of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) in tumorigenesis and immunosuppression, as well as the potential to use gene signatures to intercept and prevent lung and oral cancers.With over five years of experience in biotechnology and academic research, I have developed strong skills in immunofluorescence, tumor mouse models, imaging mass cytometry, and other techniques. I have also contributed to multiple publications, patents, and presentations in the areas of immunology and genetics. My goal is to advance the understanding of the molecular mechanisms and pathways involved in disease development and progression, and to identify novel targets and strategies for cell- and gene-based therapeutic intervention.
