About Megan Swing
I am combining my background in environmental science and communication in my role as Energy & Sustainability Outreach Coordinator at SUNY Cortland. I want to share the topics I learned while studying Environmental Science & Sustainability at Allegheny College and make them more accessible and understandable to the public through my communications skills from ASU Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. My work ethic and organization skills have driven me to be the student and person I am today. I would love to combine my passions for travel and learning about cultures (as I was also a Spanish major) with my love of sustainability and communication and story-telling skills to help create a more sustainable and well-informed world. My role as Project Manager of the Environmental Dashboard at Oberlin College as well as a Sustainability Intern at Allegheny College have prepared me for my current role as Energy & Sustainability Outreach Coordinator at SUNY Cortland in which I am able to bring sustainability communications and initiatives to higher education.
