Senior Learning Designer on the Racial Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Science Education project for our client, LabXchange. This project involves creating interdisciplinary learning materials for high school educators and students, which are aimed at reviewing the history of racism in science and examining the structures that prevent racialized groups from having equal access to opportunities in healthcare, education, and STEM fields.

As Lead Learning Designer, I oversaw the design and development of online short courses with our university partners. My role involved: - Facilitating design workshops with faculty and subject matter experts;- Managing a team of instructional designers; - Strategising and innovating around online education best practices and pedagogy;- Quality assuring educational content; and - Collaborating with external and internal stakeholders to ensure the successful and timeous development of each short course. Research assistant on Urban Health - Urban Living pilot project between UCT Public School of Health and ZMG Freiburg. This project combined public health and medical anthropology to map mother and child health and environmental indicators for the City of Cape Town in order to inform, develop and evaluate integrated public health interventions that incorporate upstream health determinants.

Editorial intern for UrbanAfrica.net, a project of the African Centre for Cities which functions as an online platform dedicated to communicating about African cities. Responsibilities included researching and writing articles featuring urban issues in Johannesburg and Cape Town, sourcing opportunities and resources related to urban studies, and compiling weekly roundups on urban issues and events around Africa.

Formed part of a team commissioned by the Premier of Gauteng and the South African Breweries to embark on a four-month project to research and design architectural and organisational recommendations for economic revitalisation in Ivory Park, a township in North-East Johannesburg.

Assisted in researching and writing copy for the City Desired exhibition and Cityscapes website.
