Megan was a student in both my financial accounting and quantitative analysis classes. In 2021, I taught my first course at Stonehill College, a financial accounting class that included Megan. From the beginning of the semester, Megan was engaged, asked thoughtful questions, and dedicated herself to learning the material. As teaching was brand new to me, Megan took the opportunity to share with me helpful practices I could integrate into the classroom so students could learn more effectively. Megan cared about her learning and this further proved that to me. I am very appreciative for Megan's input and feedback as it has molded me into the educator I am today. Fast forward to the next year, I had the pleasure of having Megan in my quantitative analysis class. Megan participated heavily in class and didn't hesitate to ask the difficult questions. Although the material was difficult, Megan thrived and received an "A" in the course. Megan's mastery of the material and ability to mentor others stood out to me which is why after the semester, I suggested Megan should apply to be a Learning Assistant for my quantitative analysis course. Megan took the position with open arms and has thrived in this role for over a year. Megan holds weekly review sessions, working one-on-one with various students, meticulously grading homework, and serving as a mentor for students in the course. Megan has been a tremendous help to both the students and myself. Outside of the classroom, Megan is a Marketing Intern for Sodexo, the College's food service company, a member of Stonehill's Dance Team, a member of the Marketing Management Association, and a member of the Women in Business club. All of these experiences have provided Megan with leadership experience, collaboration skills, and a sense of creativity, all qualities necessary to thrive in the marketing world.
