I have learned basic engineering principles through my work as a Technician. I am learning survey techniques, calculating hydraulics for water flow through pipelines, runoff and peak discharge for proper drainage, and design using AutoCAD and the practice standards and specifications set forth by the NRCS and BLM. I have basic knowledge of NEPA that I have gained through training at the Bureau of Land Management, through work at the Natural Resources Conservation Service, and also through Environmental Policy courses in college. I am proficient in computers, working with a wide array of programs including AutoCAD, ArcMap and Catalog, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Stella Modeling program, iPipe Hydraulics Program, and several other agency-specific programs related to water pipeline hydraulics.I have various experiences doing labor work including carpentry, remodeling, and landscaping.
