About Megan Schartner

With over fifteen years of experience, including community engagement, Sustainability Reporting, GHG assessments and energy audits, Megan is passionate about sustainability and community education and engagement. She has worked with local, state and federal government departments, as well as business, school and community groups in the development and implementation of a variety of environmental and educational projects, including workshops on sustainable living and natural resource management, developing biodiversity trail maps and factsheets, sustainability reporting, and developing environmental management plans. She also assisted with the development of the Diploma of Carbon Management offered by West Coast Institute of Training (WCIT, WA). This is a National Accredited Diploma on Carbon Management, giving staff the skills and knowledge the company needs to be able to measure, manage and minimise its energy use and carbon emissions. Megan is also author of Foggy Frog and the Pain Gang, a picture book aimed at raising awareness around invisible illnesses. Although primarily focused on Sustainable living these days, Megan also blogs about living with invisible chronic illness and is passionate about raising awareness and understanding in the community about what life is like with these conditions.Megan holds a double degree in Geographical & Environmental Studies, and Environmental Biology & Zoology from the University of Adelaide.
