Large trans-Tasman IT transformation project

Change Manager responsible for developing and implementing large scale trans-Tasman change strategy for a Reserve Bank compliance project. A complex project to implement a payments platform and introduce a new operating model into the technology, application and business support teams to support the platform. Contracted to:- Identify impacts to payments processing, people, processes, technology and applications.- Develop and execute a comprehensive communications plan across multiple platforms and levels of the business.- Develop an implementation plan including recruitment of additional FTE, payment application Global PayPlus (GPP-SP) training, and process and documentation updates to prepare impacted teams. - Implement operating model to support the payments platform and work collaboratively with the technology, application and business support teams to ensure understanding and ownership for successful implementation. - Develop training needs analysis for multiple teams with diverse training requirements. Work closely with Australian-based vendor to deliver tailored training. - Manage stakeholder engagement across Auckland, Wellington and Sydney offices across a range of teams.

Metlifecare is one of New Zealand’s largest retirement village operators with 25 villages in the North Island. I was contracted to work on two significant IT change projects:VCare Events (from AMRisk) - VCare is a business critical CRM to manage government funding for resident care, resident information throughout their lifecycle and Clinical data critical to providing the best care possible for the resident.As Project Lead and Change Manager I was responsible for transitioning from using AMRisk to the Events module within VCare to capture resident events (incident, complaints and near misses).- Facilitated multiple workshops to capture current and future Clinical requirements, identifying improvements and enabling future proofing.- Led the project team to build, test and implement VCare Events. Created UAT test scripts and managed testing. - Compiled detailed impact analysis for impacted groups throughout the lifecycle of an Event.- Identified changes to Clinical documentation and operating processes and managed this change.- Developed and executed a communications plan including presentation to Clinical team at annual national conference.- Provided regular updates to all levels of company from Village Admin staff through to CEO level.- Developed training needs analysis and training strategy for rollout. Created detailed training manual for VCare Events and tested during Pilot.- Managed Pilot rollout, communications and training plan and worked closely with the impacted staff to create support network and feedback process.Intranet launch:- Worked collaboratively with SharePoint vendor on design and delivery of intranet.- Delivered communications plan to launch intranet company-wide.- Developed team of content owners as intranet ambassadors, and trained them in SharePoint and encouraged ownership on their team’s site.- Developed content owner, IT support and staff training material.

Contracted during the project execution phase of the Tradewind project. Part of programme of projects to ensure Fonterra's ability to meet changes instigated by Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) to global export documentation requirements.Tradewind implemented SAP changes and supported Fonterra’s export documentation specialists to ensure MPI's requirements were met within a strict timeframe and with multi-million dollar implications.During the three month contract I was required to:- Manage the training schedule for multiple stakeholder groups during the staged AP E-cert rollout (Pilot phase, introduction of key documentation and project go live).- Identify upstream and downstream impacts and resolve cross-project issues. - Work collaboratively on a regular basis with cross-project Change Managers.- Deliver the communication strategy by developing and disseminating regular communications with key process updates, issue resolution, preparation for go live and Early Life Support (ELS) updates.- Collate user acceptance and training feedback to create stakeholder business readiness reporting.- Participate in ELS at the Export Integration Team (EIT) level to identify communications required from cross-project issues impacting on TradeWind.

Member of the Change Implementation team within Telecom's Connect division with a focus on the Shared Business Operations functions of Fulfil, Assure and Billing. Managed the change within impacted areas across the wider Telecom group - Gen-i, Telecom Retail, Corporate, Shared Technology Operations, Wholesale and Skinny. Responsibilities were to:- Develop and lead the implementation of change strategies, gain acceptance amongst stakeholders, oversee process re-engineering, develop communications, training needs analysis and strategy, as well as working closely with training specialists to ensure benefits of change were realised. - Lead workshops to understand and assess business impact to technology, people and process.- Present to senior stakeholders to GM level at the Change Forum to articulate to and seek approval of project change strategies. - Assess and ensure change readiness for impacted teams prior to project go-live.- Key point of contact and change support during post implementation phase.I worked on a range of IT projects including technology and infrastructure upgrades and Retail product-to-market delivery.- Spotify - strategically significant mobile music streaming product involving complex Retail product-to-market delivery.- Introduce new Fibre products to market.- On-board additional Local Fibre Companies as part of the nationwide Ultra Broadband roll-out.- Migrate to upgraded Home Location Registry – core infrastructure upgrade requiring comprehensive communication strategy for stakeholders.
