We believe in a world where youth are free from institutionalization and the voices of young people are respected in the development of their own mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

The Gochnauer Foundation Purpose is to provide financial help for families and children in need to help themselves by supporting organizations and programs that promote spiritual, medical, cultural, and educational growth or provide essential services. The Gochnauer Family Foundation was established in December of 1998 to give back part of the many blessings our family has received, to teach stewardship across generations, and to cultivate seeds that yield high returns in the support of those in need. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the State of California.

Laura's House provides unduplicated domestic violence-related services to the 915,000 residents of Orange County, California and beyond. Over the past 24 years, Laura's House has provided shelter and supportive services to more than 5,000 abused women, men and children and counseling, life skills education and legal advocacy to over 55,000 persons.Our target population is families experiencing the effects of domestic violence in need of emergency shelter, support, education and counseling. Laura's House operates on the philosophy that domestic violence is multi-dimensional and often cyclical in nature and must be addressed through a range of interventions. Our goal is to provide supportive service programs that will prepare our clients and their children to live independent and violence free lives, with an emphasis on education and prevention for future generations.

Anthrozoology is an interdisciplinary field that explores the spaces that animals occupy in human social and cultural worlds and the interactions humans have with them. Central to this field is an exploration of the ways in which animal lives intersect with human cultures.At its core, the field of anthrozoology is about understanding the incredibly complex and often contradictory relationships that humans share with other species. It looks at the good—how animals make our lives richer, more meaningful, and healthier—and the bad—the vast levels of human exploitation of other animals to serve human needs.
