I grew up working in our family business and debating politics at the supper table. Working for our family business at a young age didn't mean having it easy. It meant starting at the very bottom and learning how to perfect each position as I worked my way up – with a difficult boss! I learned that every job matters, and I learned how to work hard. I've taken that strong work ethic into every role I've had since. I have a passion for politics and I firmly believe that pushing and advocating from within is more effective than watching from the sidelines. I've seen what happens when youth get involved in politics. I've watched young people draft legislation, work hard lobbying for its inclusion in a political party's constitution, and see it become law. I was that kid, and I bring that same energy, that same drive, into everything I do.I have the incredible privilege of working in a position that directly supports the place I grew up in—Dartmouth, NS. It is very rewarding to know that the work I do benefits my hometown.Over the years I’ve advised the federal Nova Scotia Liberal Caucus, and staffed on the Standing Committee on National Defence, Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development, Standing Committee on Health, and the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security.Professionally, I have a keen interest in protecting nature across Canada, NATO, helping community organizations access federal opportunities, defence procurement, and advocating for policies that support local communities.Personally, I'm an avid outdoorswoman—an angler, archer, and paddler who loves spending time outdoors, and away from Zoom meetings.
