Our affinity groups, called RISE groups, support communities who are underrepresented in entrepreneurship. For my two year tenure, I worked to define the structure of this new position, facilitate improvements for diversity, equity, and inclusion according to quarterly targets, and support fellows within these communities.

On CLC I was the Community Chair, dedicated to creating a strong network of entrepreneurial leaders internally within the fellowship and externally with St. Louis leaders. Venture For America (VFA) is creating the next generation of startup leaders. VFA is a fellowship for recent grads who want to learn how to build a business while making an impact. I served as a Board Observer for several of our portfolio companies and started and lead the new internal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.The Yield Lab is an agriculture technology venture capital seed fund and business accelerator. I led investor relations for 13 active VC funds, totaling $160 million assets under management. I designed new reporting methods to increase efficiency between accountants and legal team and initiated HR initiatives to improve team cohesion and increase community engagement. I created customized lessons each week to adapt to each musician. I ensured that each of my students improved their practical techniques, increased their music theory understanding, and enhanced their overall performance. I analyzed extensive data to assess the impact of environmental factors such as ambient air temperature on infant mortality rates in the neonatal care unit of hospitals across Malawi, and identified key areas of improvement. I presented these research findings to sponsors and the MacArthur 100&Change Grant Advisors, helping the program secure $15 Million in funding. Additionally, working out of Queen Elizabeth hospital in Blantyre, I compared hospital performance and needs, and documented potential future projects for the Rice 360 Program. Finally, I aided with the evaluation of current implementation of the Rice CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) device which has saved hundreds of neonatal babies across the country.
