Currently, I am the head of Funraising for the Skip Curtis Fund at Boston University, Medical. This fund was established prior to Skip's death, and it's purpose is to fund Alzheimer's Research at Boston University, Medical. The money that is raised is to be spent strictly on Alzheimer's research and only for that purpose. There will be no "middle man" to receive any of the research money.The Arbors of Bedford have been kind enough to assist in this fundraising venture.

I have had interviews with Dr. Robert Stern ( BU Medical, Alzheimer's Disease Center), on National Television, news stations, Real Simple Magazine, Remedy and Prevention Magazines.Was interviewed for an article on Alzheimer's in "Neurology Today", and several newspapers.I have been a speaker at The HOPE STUDY Brunch, MIT, many nursing facilities and educational forums for the Alzheimer's Association, The Arbors of Bedford, Keene Hospice (CEU's), Peterborough and many other organizationsDuring the Presidential Campaign of 2012, I was asked by US AGAINST ALZHEIMER'S Org, to attend the campaign areas and address with each candidate what their thoughts were on Federal funding for research for Alzheimer's Disease.

When my husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 2006 I became an advocate for educating the public sector as well as the medical professionals on how to approach this disease. I was able to care for my husband at home until his death in 2010 and promised that I would continue the fight against this monster. I speak at public and private venues, help families and healthcare facilities in the approach and understanding of Alzheimer's Disease by telling my personal story as well as knowledge gained from numerous studies from Boston University, where my husband was proactive and partook of numerous studies and drug trials there.

I am the owner/innkeeper of a 1785 Federal farmhouse on 6 acres on a beautiful country road. All five bedrooms have private bath, and is open year round for four seasons of activities.This was the birthplace of the 42nd Governor of N.H., David Goodell. In the 1800's it was known as the largest farm in Hillsborough County, owned by the James Bickford Family.Our property is a very special place and we currently are also hosting many country weddings.This home is always alive with guests from all over the world.Two years ago we started a Respite for Caregivers, a much needed service to those that are exhausted from caregiving.There is great energy on this property, and you will not be disappointed in your stay!
