Supervisor: Mr. Maurice Sampson• Engaged with and managed expectations of stakeholders involved in the Resilient Communities Stormwater Initiative (RCSI) supported by the William Penn Foundation.• Designed and conducted neighborhood tours for over 40 community leaders in Philadelphia that introduced them to various green stormwater infrastructure projects and green outdoor spaces in the city.• Co-organized an environmental justice symposium entitled “Crisis and Green Opportunities in Black and Brown Neighborhoods” as part of CWA’s campaign to support and promote EJ legislation.• Managed and recruited community and school volunteers for the Lead in Soil project in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania Center of Excellence in Environmental Toxicology (UPenn CEET).• Managed two interns that assisted with the Lead in Soil Project and the Resilient Communities Stormwater Initiative.• Built a community recruitment dataset for CWA Philadelphia office using Airtable.

Supervisor: Dr. Dorceta Taylor• Built a network of 14 new environmental organization partners in Connecticut in less than two months that will serve as internship placements for the last cohort of the Doris Duke Conservation Scholars at the University of Michigan.• Reviewed applications, interviewed and selected scholars for the 2019 and 2020 cohorts of the program.• Trained and managed a total of 60 undergraduate students from historically underrepresented groups across the US in the summer of 2019 and 2020.• Built a network of partner environmental organizations in Michigan and Connecticut for the internship component of the program.• Administered the ~$500,000 annual budget for the program.• Expanded the scholar recruitment efforts through the use of social media (twitter and facebook), and by increasing classroom recruitment visits within Michigan and neighboring states that led to at least 20% increase in the number of applications received for the 2019 and 2020 programs.• Designed the 2019, 2020, and 2021 summer curriculum and expanded the network of research faculty and environmental organization partners.• Designed a remote summer in programming in 2020 in less than two months due to COVID-19 and successfully implemented the new program with 100% participation of the scholars.• Served an additional role as a research mentor in summer of 2020 and led workshops on SPSS and ethical survey methods for research.

Supervisor: Mr. John George• Raised $1,500 through grant writing and used the funds to host 30 Detroit middle school students on an educational trip to local farms and the Henry Ford Greenfield Village.• Created the 2017 annual report of the organization using Adobe InDesign that helped publicize the organization’s achievements and on-going projects.• Represented the organization in public functions including Pecha Kucha Night Detroit as one of the six presenters and at a Hands-On Mission Workshop organized by the Presbytery of Detroit.

Supervisor: Dr. Rebecca Hardin• Organized the 8th annual meeting for the Association for Law, Policy and Society (ALPS) in a span of three months. Event organization included booking transportation for a field trip to Detroit, reserving hotel rooms for meeting participants, booking flights for invited speakers, coordinating with various catering services, creating a webpage for abstract submission and conference registration, setting up the registration payment system, and overseeing the event to help troubleshoot technical difficulties and other issues throughout the meeting. This meeting was was held in May 2017 with approximately 100 participants from at least seven different countries.• Organized meetings for the Michigan Sustainability Cases (MSC) and the MSC Strategic Advisors Meeting that was participated in by local and international partners from different universities, local government offices, and NGOs.

Supervisor: Dr. Arun Agrawal• Created and managed online surveys for FLARE researchers using Open Data Kit (ODK) and Qualtrics.• Assisted FLARE Database Manager in cleaning and organizing IFRI forests database using MS Access and Excel, and in creating an open access to the records using Dreamweaver.• Led the enumerator training in Nepal for the Disaster Recovery and Livelihood Impacts project in partnership with Forest Action Nepal in October 2016.• Assisted with the planning and organizing of FLARE annual conference in Stockholm, Sweden in September 2017.

• Served as liaison between the School of Natural Resources and Environment and other graduate programs by taking lead in sustainability initiatives within the building.• Promoted a transdisciplinary culture to transform graduate residential living through creation of innovative educational and socialization programs.• Spearheaded the Munger Multicultural Council aiming to promote cultural awareness and intercultural competency.• Co-organized a series of talk on food sustainability having local chefs as speakers, which inspired sustainable eating habits among graduate students participants.
