Current- Promoted from Assistant Director, September 2024. Manage the Portfolio, Sentinel, Thesis, and Optimism Press imprints, including assigning titles to production editors and creating production schedules for each.
- Developing resources and how-tos for editorial about the production process in order to improve turnaround times and ensure book quality.
- Working with the managing editorial, editorial, production, and upper management teams to troubleshoot crash book schedules and non-standard book needs.
- Overseeing the department’s first intern position and creating an onboarding program for future interns.
- Serving in an advisory group for the migration of our file management system to a new platform; providing feedback to upper management on the proposed file hierarchy based on usability testing.
- Working on a committee to overhaul our freelancer recruitment and testing process in order to support the company’s DEI initiatives, expand our talent pool, and improve work quality.Additional responsibilities include.
