    As the Bristol Bay Organizer for Trout Unlimited's Save Bristol Bay campaign, I have worked with hunters, anglers, Tribal organizations, commercial fishermen and other stakeholders to fight the proposed Pebble mine during the federal permit review process. Accomplishments include: - Mobilization of ~75,000 moderate and conservative sportsmen and women to oppose the Draft Environmental Impact Statement and call on the Trump Administration to deny the permit for the mine. The key federal permit was denied in November 2020. - Managing Save Bristol Bay communication channels including social media, grassroots emails, and blogs. In 2020, we grew the campaign email list grew by ~54%. - Expanding and facilitating business partnerships within the national and local hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation industry and providing places for engagement and campaign support- Educating Trout Unlimited members and campaign supporters in Alaska and the Lower 48 on permit process status updates, and providing creative, easy and effective ways for grassroots supporters to take action- Creating and leading the Save Bristol Bay Guide Ambassador program with 75 volunteer guides. My work now contributes to the larger Bristol Bay coalition effort to advance permanent protections for the fish, people, and fish-based industries of the southwest Alaska.
