As the Bristol Bay Organizer for Trout Unlimited's Save Bristol Bay campaign, I have worked with hunters, anglers, Tribal organizations, commercial fishermen and other stakeholders to fight the proposed Pebble mine during the federal permit review process. Accomplishments include: - Mobilization of ~75,000 moderate and conservative sportsmen and women to oppose the Draft Environmental Impact Statement and call on the Trump Administration to deny the permit for the mine. The key federal permit was denied in November 2020. - Managing Save Bristol Bay communication channels including social media, grassroots emails, and blogs. In 2020, we grew the campaign email list grew by ~54%. - Expanding and facilitating business partnerships within the national and local hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation industry and providing places for engagement and campaign support- Educating Trout Unlimited members and campaign supporters in Alaska and the Lower 48 on permit process status updates, and providing creative, easy and effective ways for grassroots supporters to take action- Creating and leading the Save Bristol Bay Guide Ambassador program with 75 volunteer guides. My work now contributes to the larger Bristol Bay coalition effort to advance permanent protections for the fish, people, and fish-based industries of the southwest Alaska.

As a Student Conservation Association fellow, I provided key assistance on all Visitor Services projects, including interpretation and education for the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge based out of the Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center. In this year-long position, I -Worked to connect the Kenai Peninsula community and visitors to the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge-Assisted with daily Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center tasks including program management and event planning-Facilitated, created and delivered environmental education programs to local school groups (Pre-Kindergarden- 6th grade) on various marine science topics-Developed weekend programming to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Attu and Alaska's role in World War II-Led community engagement efforts through email newsletters, social media and in-person outreach-Supported our dedicated team of volunteers who had the greatest visitor engagement

In this summer seasonal position, I worked with a racially, culturally and economically diverse group of people to ensure that the employee experience working at the Bryce Canyon Lodge was meaningful and exciting by:- Coordinating and executing activities and excursions for employees including craft nights, day and night hikes, and shopping trips to the local town- Leading hiking trips throughout Southern Utah ranging from 3-10 miles- Sharing my knowledge on Utah's network of public lands and accessibility - Engaging seasonal lodge employees with the year-round Bryce, UT community

I served as the general Government Relations intern for The Wilderness Society during my spring semester studying in Washington, D.C. I stayed on with the Government Relations team through the summer working specifically on wilderness designation priorities, conservation funding advocacy and Antiquities Act defense. General duties included: -Identifying and tracking legislation concerning organizational priorities using CongressPlus-Researching new policies and legislation for fact sheets -Compiling a comprehensive conservation funding history tracking document-Managing social media accounts for the Land and Water Conservation Fund Coalition (Facebook and Twitter)-Attending Congressional hearings and providing live updates to Government Relations staff-Crafting Dear Colleague letters and driving signatures for issues areas of focus

In my summer seasonal position at the Glacier Bay Lodge, I provided support in -Upholding the Aramark Mission Statement: "To provide experiences that enrich and nourish lives."-Greeting and checking guests in at the Glacier Bay Lodge-Providing information to visitors about Glacier Bay National Park natural history and regulations-Collaborating with local business owners to ensure longlasting positive relationships between the park, the concessionaire, and the National Park Service

While working at the Glacier Bay Lodge, I also participated in ministry work through A Christian Ministry in the National Parks to share the Word of God with interested park visitors, lodge co-workers, and National Park Service staff. Volunteer tasks included-Planning and holding interdenominational Christian worship services on Sundays in the National Park Service Auditorium-Organizing faith-based activities (bible studies and small group events) for Glacier Bay Lodge employees-Advocating and educating coworkers and guests about the concept of Creation Care as visitors in the park

My roles included-Providing recycling assistance to local businesses-Educating local business owners of new recycling-related ordinances-Conducting research on disposable bag ordinances in the U.S. for City of Fort Collins implementation -Attending City Council meetings during the readings of the disposable bag ordinance
