    My main research project examines the gene-environment interactions contributing to population differences in lung function and asthma severity following exposure to air pollution. More specifically, nasal airway epithelial cells are cultured at air-liquid interface and exposed to organic and aqueous fractions of PM2.5, and whole transcriptome analyses are utilized to identify the aforementioned interactions and genetic variants.
