Supervises the daily activities of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers in the initiation, planning, executing, monitoring and close out of assigned projects. Reviews project scope and coordinates with key stakeholders to ensure desired outcome. Ensures projects are managed on schedule and on budget, reviewing and determining risks associated with schedule recovery plans. Ensures key stakeholder involvement in the life cycle of the projects. Coordinates with Engineering Design Program Management and Construction Management for quality/timeliness/cost efficiency of work delivered.

Newark Airport

Responsible for managing multiple airside projects at Newark Liberty International Airport and Teterboro Airport. Manage scoping and agency authorization process, including the justification, planning approach, identification/study of alternatives and selection of the preferred alternative. Establish project schedules and budgets; manage the efforts of multidisciplinary staff across departments; manage project planning, design, construction and close-out efforts; ensure that all required permits or agreements with outside entities are in place, and ensure the timely completion of projects within scope, schedule and budget.

Greater New York City Area

Airfield specialist within the Aviation Department’s Technical Services group. Manage airfield lighting, marking, signage and EMAS for Port Authority Airports. Update and maintain group VI aircraft operating plans for JFK and EWR. Write and request FAA Modifications of Standards. Review design drawings to ensure compliance with FAA standards. Manage contracts with airfield product vendors.

Responsible for preparing civil engineering studies, contract drawings, technical specifications and construction cost estimates; evaluating project scopes, developing design criteria, budgets for design services, and design schedules; audit designs performed by consultants; lead project teams in preparation of project proposals, design coordination, schedule and budget reporting, and briefing senior staff.

Lead cross-functional teams, prepared and monitored design budgets, conducted meetings, produced civil contract drawings and specifications. Modeled aircraft fleet mix projections and designed pavement thickness for Runway 13R-31L at JFK International Airport. Performed civil site design of utilities and grading and prepared cost estimates for various Port Authority aviation projects in accordance with FAA circulars and Port Authority design standards. Responsible for hiring interns and entry level engineer for functional group.Participated in the “Engineer of the Future” project to determine traits and skills the Engineering Department staff will need in the future. Identified ways to develop those traits and skills internally.
