My career as a business and systems analyst has been rewarding due to the fact that my innate curiosity makes it feel less like “work” and more like solving a puzzle or mystery. Although I am ready and willing to take on any task to help the team, my true passion lies in problem-solving. Whether it is understanding a business process, tracking down a data element, finding a subject matter expert, or troubleshooting defects, I can’t stop hunting until I’ve found an explanation and resolution. This relentless drive to understand and solve a problem or find an answer has allowed me to successfully tackle projects requiring integrating the complexities of multiple technology groups and the opinions of multiple business units by bringing together stakeholders to prioritize work, align expectations and coordinate handoffs. My enthusiasm and enjoyment for the work I do show in my positive attitude and strong work ethic.Over the years, I’ve taken this passion for finding answers and applied it to project management, requirements analysis, documenting business processes, designing database tables or service interfaces, testing applications, creating a test harness to verify calculations (I’m an Excel guru), and even periodically researching code functions. I support both technology and business by learning as much of the end-to-end experience of each application or system I work on. Exposure to these areas provides ample opportunities to foster relationships and build a network of trusted individuals who I can rely on and know they can rely on me. These relationships are not only beneficial in designing and developing a solution, but also throughout the planning and execution of the project and product roadmap.
