From these reports, it was concluded that the most time demanding task was the hand steaming of all clothing merchandise, accounting for an average of 40% of the time aliquoted during a given workday. Owners invested in two industrial standing steamers that increased steaming output by 20% and reduced hand steaming task by 15%.
