MOHS micrographic surgery is the most advanced treatment existing today for skin cancer. As a technician, I maintained a CLIA Certified laboratory where I assisted the Mohs surgeon by handling and processing skin tissue to test for cancerous cells using the H&E staining method.

As an administrative assistant at Benedetto Dermatology, I work directly with the medical director and our office manager to keep the office running smoothly. I handle most of the correspondence with the director, track annual memberships, organize and assist with preparations for DOH inspection, and much more. If Dr. Benedetto needs a problem solved or a project tackled, he brings it to me!

As a Writing Center Consultant, I worked closely with fellow students individually to help them to better understand their own personal writing processes and improve their writing skills. Being a Consultant in the Writing Center was more than simply being a writing tutor. In the process focused environment, the product took a back seat to the student's understanding and improving of their writing as a skill. It was an extremely rewarding experience that taught me much.I left this job in May of 2015 because it was a work study position at Arcadia University, from which I have since graduated.

At the Resource Desk, also referred to as the Information Desk, I worked to provide complete and accurate information about Arcadia University's campus for students, employees, and visitors. In addition to providing information, I also managed the Building Lost & Found, consulted with questions over the telephone, and kept a watchful eye over my work space.I left this position to prepare for extended travel abroad.

At Pennsylvania Pulmonary Medical Associates, a private practice affiliated with Pennsylvania Hospital, I helped out around the office by organizing, scanning, and otherwise keeping track of letters, business memos and important patient documents. It was my job to keep the office clean and orderly, putting files away as needed and also pulling charts that the Doctors required for various purposes. I left this job in December of 2013 because I was leaving the country to study in Ireland for several months.

As a Waitress at a 24-Hour Diner, I learned a lot about customer service, patience, and thinking on my feet. My responsibilities included managing several tables at a time, knowing a good deal about food and food preparation, and keeping a select area of the restaurant clean, sanitized, and orderly. I left this job because the long night hours were hard on my studies. Though my time there was short, I quickly found that I enjoyed working directly with people very much.
