About Meghan Moriarty

My evaluation services can help you assess the impact of your Science Technology Engineering & Math programming and learning environments, in and out-of-school (OST), and monitor the outcomes including attitudes towards STEM, interest in STEM career fields, self-efficacy, knowledge, and skills. Over the years, the majority of work has included both qualitative and quantitive measures. I believe qualitative data is necessary to tell the story when it comes to effective programming for youth, volunteers, and program developers. I can help you develop develop quantitative and qualitative measures specific to your needs, collect quality data (formative and/or summative), interpret results, and identify best practices from the literature. I can help you develop and implement effective programs, and strengthen your research and evaluation capacity so you can monitor your own programs. My clients have included city government offices and programs, public schools and libraries, multinational biotechnology companies, and major academic institutions throughout Greater Boston. I have implemented multi year program evaluations as well as one time program evaluations. My passion lies in advancing STEM learning opportunities for all students, with particular attention to girls and persons excluded because of their ethnicity or race. In addition to program evaluation, I facilitate workshops and teach courses on inclusive teaching practices, teaching for belonging, and active learning strategies in STEM.
