Responsible for leading our centre's knowledge translation, communication, capacity building and partner engagement strategies. The National Centre of Implementation Science (NCOIS) is a Centre of Research Excellence funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council. Our focus is on identifying, optimising and translating implementation research on chronic disease prevention policies, programs and practices within community settings.

Coordinated research related activities including preparation of academic publications, funding progress reports, grants and awards.

At CEI, I was responsible for a broad portfolio of evidence synthesis and evaluation projects. Specializing in evidence-synthesis and implementation science. Worked with policy makers, governments, organisation leaders and philanthropic organsiations to understand their evidence base and develop processes to put the evidence into the hands of those that need it to deliver better outcomes.

Practitioner, and conjoint lecturer working within the Population Health, Health Promotion service delivery unit of the Hunter New England Local Health District. Involved in the conduct of integrated population health research conducted in collaboration with the University of Newcastle. This fellowship provided me with the opportunity to lead a program of research that provided an important contribution to the limited evidence regarding the implementation of nutrition guidelines in Early Childhood Education and Care settings. Broadly the objectives of my research were to:- Identify effective childhood obesity interventions that could feasibly be delivered in the context and resources of their community- Identify strategies to effectively implement evidence-based childhood obesity prevention policies or programs

Working in the area of childhood obesity prevention. Including practice based research in the school and childcare settings. Managing the implementation of the Healthy Children Initiative in childcare settings. Involvement in multiple practice based trials examining the effectiveness of implementation interventions to improve the healthy eating and physical activity of children.

Dietetic service delivery for community health outpatient clinics, delivery of group-based preventive and clinical prevention programs and led community nutrition program planning and delivery.

Led service delivery for community outpatients, outreach clinics and management of health promotion programs.
