About Meghan Freeman

When I applied to the world's best journalism school years ago (objectively speaking, of course), I had no idea I'd end up where I am today. You might be viewing my profile and wondering why a woman with a degree (and then some) in broadcast journalism has found a home in non-profit work. It may not have been intentional, but it was definitely meant to be!Every day, I get to combine my passion for moving and effective storytelling and desire to leave the world better than I found it. While I’m no longer working at the National MS Society as an employee, I am back to my roots as a fundraiser and event participant. Having been involved with the Society since 2007, the running total of my personal, non-professional fundraising for multiple sclerosis = $40,000.Outside of work, my interests include hiking, traveling, home improvement/DIY projects, kayaking, Cardinals baseball, reading, craft brewery hopping, the AP Stylebook, and everything true crime. Of course, family, friends, and my cat are heavily sprinkled throughout. p.s. While AP Style might frown upon it, I'm a big fan of the Oxford comma.
