As a junior at George Washington University, I am engaged in studying sociology and classical and ancient Near Eastern studies. My academic journey has not only fostered a keen interest in the classical world but also illuminated the profound connections between historical insights and contemporary social issues.With a background that includes art history and classical studies, I've found that learning about ancient civilizations has enriched my understanding of today's global society. This interdisciplinary approach has inspired me to pursue impactful work that addresses current social climates.I am particularly passionate about prison reformation, educational improvements, and social work through legal, policy, and hands-on efforts. As a result of my studies and volunteer experiences, I aim to leverage the lessons from our past to drive meaningful change and foster a more just and equitable future. My goal is to combine my knowledge of early civilizations and sociology to contribute to work that uplifts and supports communities and individuals in need.
