I was responsible for low to medium hazard grade renewals and worked on high hazard accounts with the underwriter. I also processed all endorsements, reviewing drivers, requesting applications, and managing accounts through the policy term. I worked with agents on a daily basis to get the correct coverages and also to create and maintain relationships. I also helped on New Business when needed, mainly acquiring updates for the account and sent updated information to the agent. An important aspect about my job was that I work with many departments in the company, such as Risk Management, Billing and Claims. This provided a better service to our customer and the agent.

I handled New Business accounts form submission through policy issuance. Once bound, I managed any endorsements and billing responsibilities. I also handled specific Program Business through submission to approval. On top of New Business, I also worked on Renewals. I processed any new information for Renewals and issue them if we obtain the business. I also dealt with Compliance for NCCI and the Bureau States. I helped train my fellow associates on our system, as well as the day-to-day operations.

My main responsibilities included writing press releases and pitches and tracking clients' media placements. I worked alongside fellow interns and associates to update media lists and help answer any questions the media and influencers may have. I also help updated the company's blog every week.

I managed the hunting department at Dunham’s Sporting Goods. The responsibilities included displaying product, assist customers find products that fit their needs and allow fellow employees to learn and grow in the department. Alongside these responsibilities, I worked with the management team to file and keep track of government paperwork.

I worked with the communications director on the PR plans and a program called SCORE. The program is to create an affordable way for underprivileged kids and adults to play soccer. We created an informational brochure on the program so we can reach more people.I worked in team environments with my fellow interns and communications director. Our huge event at the end of the summer was setting up and working a tailgating event for an international soccer game.

Evansville, Indiana Area

I was the marketing/PR intern. I helped write press releases and make spreadsheets. The spreadsheets were inputting data from a free skin screening. I also set up their annual Prostate Cancer and Men's Health Awareness event.
