I serve as a delegate representing AACAP in the AMA Medical Student Section. In this role, I have advocated for children's mental health by writing policy with the AACAP delegation, attending AMA conferences, and supporting other medical students that are writing policy in line with AACAP's mission.

- Leading a community service project aimed to increase access to behavioral healthcare in primary care settings- Collaborate with primary care physicians to increase their comfort in psychopharmacology- Conduct didactic workshops on issues of psychiatric care access and the Waco Guide, a free clinical decision support tool created by Waco Family Medicine & the Massachusetts General Psychiatry Academy

- Studied how rumination, working memory capacity, and emotional stimuli impact working memory updating processes for honors thesis - Awarded the UT Austin Undergraduate Research Fellowship to support this project- Performed virtual behavioral study on 70+ participants- Presented at the CNS Honors Thesis Symposium, the UT Undergraduate Research Forum, and the Virtual Working Memory Symposium- Co-authored manuscript titled "Rumination burdens the updating of working memory"

- Mentored a cohort of 6 freshmen, meeting weekly to provide support during their transition into college- Facilitated class discussions- Graded and provided feedback on assignments

- Studied Fragile X mouse models in the lab of pediatric neurologist, Audrey Brumback- Used MATLAB to analyze action potential data- Performed immunohistochemistries on tissue samples to look at cellular changes- Presented work at UT Undergraduate Research Forum

- Graded weekly assignments for 100+ students taking Professor Cepparo's Calc II class

- Interned in Dr. Elizabeth Nance's lab, where we developed drug-delivering nanoparticles to treat neonatal neurological diseases- Evaluated the effects of polymer amounts and surfactants on nanoparticles' size, charge, and dispersity

- Worked in Dr. Wendy Thomas' bioengineering lab, helping to optimize a portable vaporizer to provide anesthetic during surgeries in under-resourced areas- Designed vaporizer wick using AutoCAD- Carried out various laboratory simulations of vaporizer model

- Worked in Dr. Steven Siegel's lab, where we studied schizophrenia mouse models- Investigated morphological changes in cortical neurons- Performed immunohistochemistries on brain tissue
