Established and led the strategic planning, management, and execution for human resources functions that support a workforce of approximately 500 employees classified as direct hires, collectively bargained, and independent contractors. Lead strategist and writer of the institution’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategic five-year plan. This plan was approved by the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs and led to the development of the institution’s anti-racism statement and laid the groundwork for initiatives to support becoming an anti-racist organization. Established an employee anti-racism/DEI committee for collaboration on goal completion related to the institution's DEI strategic plan and anti-racism commitment. Served as the Board of Directors’ Equity Committee liaison. Represented the institution with the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs in the areas of anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion.Crafted an exceptional employment experience through the lifecycle of hire-to-retire that fosters a culture of equity and inclusion while promoting a commitment to supporting the institutional mission. Supported the relationship building, employee relations, grievance process, and negotiation of collective bargaining agreements with each union.Established and executed standardized systems for organization-wide communication, recruiting, new hire onboading, employee engagement, recognition, and retention. Created Covid-19 compliance procedures to support the health and wellness of the essential employees and the smooth transition to remote work for administrative staff. Implemented the New York Shared Work Program to retain more employees during the pandemic. Ensured legal compliance and maintained employee relations through necessary staff reductions in response to the pandemic. Counseled executive staff throughout the pandemic on matters involving workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and employee relations.
