In my current position as a Health and Wellness Specialist with Walmart, I am responsible for managing the scheduling for five separate markets across three states that includes 52 pharmacy locations and approximately 250 pharmacist ensuring everyday low cost of operations in relation to labor expenses. My role involves working with Directors and Regional Talent Specialists to support the workforce plan and offer solid recommendations related to staffing needs and levels of experience. I establish short- and long-term planning for each market location related to staffing, training, and budget management. I am in charge of comparing actual schedules to the projected needs of each location; make staffing adjustments to meet the lowest cost solution. Additionally, I collaborate with Market Health and Wellness Directors to schedule health and wellness staff by identifying associate staffing pool, communicate gaps and overages in scheduling, track employee time off, and maintain all licenses and certifications for each team member to meet federal and state compliance requirements. A couple of key highlights while in this position includes:  Successfully trained over 70 pharmacy managers in understanding and utilizing scheduling software to meet store scheduling requirements, as well as workforce planning policies and procedures.  Identified critical cost savings opportunities in one specific store by investigating and analyzing a paid time off request that resulted in reducing payroll expenses by $25K annually.

While in this position, I worked directly with customers to identify and fulfill special requests and needs based on the products and services the customer was looking for. My role involved collaborating with senior managers related to special projects and in store promotions. I was also responsible for managing the daily operations of the store including overseeing all incoming and outgoing shipments, vendor management, reconciling transactions and inventory, and compiling home office reports. Additionally, I reviewed key areas within the store to identify opportunities to reduce store losses. A couple of key highlights while in this position included: Increased annual revenues by implementing a new tracking system that increased special orders and widen the company’s existing customer base.  Streamlined the company’s return processes that resulted in reducing product losses by over $20K annually.

In consecutive roles at Fort Riley, I provided leadership and direction to medical employees and facilities located both domestically and in the Middle East. I utilized multiple information systems to track patients, monitor inventory, and train personnel in being prepared to provide medical assistance. I was accountable for a $4.1M operating budget, as well as overseeing all medical logistics, facilities, equipment, and program compliance for the Fort Riley Dental Activity facility. A few key highlights while in this role includes Developed a patient tracking system that provided up to date information on where patients were located and in the process being transferred back to the United States, while notifying the highest-ranking officer on the post.  Designed and implemented an appointment notification system that resulted in preparing an additional 10% of military personnel in being available for deployment.  Oversaw a $9M renovation of a dental facility that serviced over 4000 patients. This included overseeing restricting of the building including modernizing the facility to improve patient flow and upgrading approximately $1M in obsolete equipment.  Member of multiple committees including the Clinical Quality Management Committee and Medical Evaluation Board Committee. Served as the Command Inspection Coordinate for the unit ensuring the group was up to date on all facility requirements, as well as escorting commanding officers to all facilities on site.
