Mount Vernon, Virginia

At Mount Vernon, I worked to determine the original appearance of George Washington's brick stable, built in 1782. This included conducting documentary research and site visits to better understand eighteenth-century stables across the region, especially interior stable fittings, both lost and extant. My findings were added to the existing Historic Structures Report and were expanded into my master's thesis.
