What moves you? What inspires you to get up and do what you love everyday? Everyone has their dream job, and I'm on my path to mine.I’ve always had a love for sports and have been playing since I was a child. Combine this love for sports with my passion for helping others, and I found the perfect medium in athletic training where I can help athletes. The clinical settings that I have worked in allowed me to learn how to adapt to new situations and think on the fly. My goals for the future are to obtain my certification in athletic training, get my master’s degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in strength & conditioning, and work with in the Division I or professional sports setting. My experiences include working with SDSU's 20+ club teams and their Division I men’s and women’s tennis teams, and football team. SDSU's program allowed me to assist with injury recognition, on-the-field injury evaluation, and rehabilitation skills. This experience allowed me to recognize what hard work is and helped me to learn that everyday is an interview and you are working to earn your connections in the field.SDSU's Athletic Training Education Program gave me the opportunity to be a part of the Future Athletic Trainers’ Society which works to promote the profession of athletic training through volunteer events and activities. I have taken on a larger role in this organization as the director of communications officer. In this role I am able to take part in outreach to the community to find events in which we can volunteer and spread knowledge about the profession of athletic training. I also communicate with all of the members and athletic training preceptors about what the organization is currently working on or involved with.
