Oversight and accountable for equitable and sustainable health and human services policies that promotes health and well-being of everyone living in Pennsylvania.

Oversee the strategy and execution of training and technical assistance, capacity building, and consulting services focusing on promoting the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) model, integrated health care best practices, and guiding public health issues. Initiatives are primarily focused on overdoses prevention, substance use, mental illness, suicide prevention, tobacco use prevention, health equity, and racial justice across the nation.

Provide translation services for cases involving asylees, immigrants, and other vulnerable population in the US justice system that have limited English proficiency.

Established vision, guiding principles and strategic framework for Pennsylvania’s diverse set of public health initiatives focused on health care access, injury prevention resources, research grants and public health registry programs. Develop and set deputate and program performance indicators and evaluation methods.

- Launched the PDMP system & program in Pennsylvania. Recommend ongoing changes needed to enhance the functionality of the PDMP over time. Provide operational, administrative and financial oversight.- Develop or comment on the legislation; formulate policy and provide policy direction at the local, regional and statewide levels. - A chief liaison to advisory boards, other state and local agencies and associations statewide and in the department to coordinate, develop and implement policies, procedures and data to track, evaluate and reduce prescription drug abuse in the commonwealth. - Provide leadership and advocate for the development of programs to increase statewide public awareness of prescription drug abuse, and related prevention and control measures. - Design and implement educational initiatives to train prescribers and dispensers on how to effectively use the PDMP as a tool in clinical practice. - Monitor the analysis of opioid prescribing trends, use of the PDMP, and impact upon linking patients to treatment, among other data needs. - Direct and manage grant writing, management and related activities.- Direct innovative strategies such as statewide EHR and Pharmacy Management System integration with Pennsylvania's PDMP system, Opioid overdoses fatal & non-fatal rapid surveillance in PA.- Executive Committee Member of the National Prescription Monitoring Information Exchange (PMIX) Working Group.- Oversee budget of over $12 million in state & federal grant funds.
