In addition to functioning as a teacher, I also support the third grade team as the Data Instructional Lead for ELA (English Language Arts -- Reading and Writing). In this capacity I support teachers with examining student data, planning aligned next steps for whole class, small group and individualized intervention and leading planning for reading and writing initiatives across the grade level in order to improve student outcomes. When necessary and beneficial for teachers and students, I conduct observations, co-teach and model lessons in a coaching capacity.

Prior to founding the third grade ELA team at Harlem Village Academy Elementary, I was a founding member of our school's second grade team.

Teach an afterschool cooking class to K-5th graders which focuses on preparing healthy, kid- and budget-friendly versions of popular foods.

Supervise a cohort of 40 special education teachers at 25 public schools across Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens and Manhattan.
