She received her M.Sc. and PhD in Computer Engineering from the Universidad de Zaragoza. Her PhD dissertation was related to studying software performance assessment at the architectural level based on software performance engineering principles with stochastic Petri nets. Her research interests include software performance and stochastic modelling of quantitative and qualitative properties applied to software architectures. She is a researcher with more than 20 years of experience in National and European R&D projects including academic and industrial environments (CDTI, AVANZA, FP6, FP7, Artemis, H2020). She worked as pre and post-doctoral researcher at the Babel group at the Facultad de Informática, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. She worked as a post-researcher at the Center for Open Middleware and the University of East London.Concerning teaching, she taught at the Universidad de Zaragoza, the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and the University of East London (United Kingdom). After that, she was a professor of Business Computer at CIS and an external professor at the International University of La Rioja for the Master in Computer Security. She was an assistant professor at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid for 5 years.
