As a mom to four children, former public school teacher and former Teach For America employee, I have seen first hand the devastating effects the loss of dynamic play and inquiry have had on children and families in America. This is why I founded Let Children Play. I work to connect parents, advocates and teachers together in order to evangelize about the importance of exploration, critical thinking and problem solving in the American classroom.LCP has grown quickly in the past two years, reaching an audience of 20-30k parents a month. I plan and implement well rounded, rigorous lesson plans that stay on the cutting edge of child development. Our daily lessons including awakening all parts of the brain and body. We move, we dance, we sing, we play and we work and learn. This is, I believe, a balanced and successful approach to education.

I organized and managed all aspects of office life, took exceptional interest in follow through and attention to details. I maintained our regional website and wrote regional newsletter. I became educated on all aspects of Americorp qualifications for corp members and handled all Americorp paperwork. I used Raiser's Edge to track all donations to Teach For America New Mexico and participated in planning fundraising events. Worked with ED to leverage funding for regional operations. Met with donors and used local and national networks to find new donors for the Teach For America New Mexico cause.
