Director of Development & Communications at Vigilant Love, a project of Community Partners.- Develops and manages the organization’s multi-year grants fundraising strategy and grants calendar for the organization; writes, reviews, and approves grant proposals for foundation and government funders; spearheads strategy for and attends funder calls and meetings; co-creates budgets with co-directors; maintains streamlined reporting calendar and ensures deliverables are being met throughout the year; supervises contract grant writer - Leads, administers, and expands the organization’s membership and individual donor base; cultivates relationships with existing donors through donor and member administration activities including special updates, invitations, membership “perks,” builds relationships with new and prospective donors at events, through fundraising campaigns, and other collaboration and networking opportunities; designs and implements grassroots fundraising campaigns- Spearheads and implements the organization’s annual communications plan and calendar; designs organizational graphics, blog posts, social media content, monthly newsletter, website, visual identity, and all digital content; oversees all rapid response, programs, and campaign communications; builds relationships with media and journalists- Shapes and participates in organizational strategic planning with fellow co-directors; co-creates new organizational policy and infrastructure to support organizational growth and staff wellness; ensures streamlined documentation, communication, and collaboration of work plan systems; co-leads weekly team meetings and coordinates implementation of organizational work, communications, development, campaigns, and programs- Promotes and supports a collaborative team culture that empowers a shared leadership structure, uplifts each team members’ strengths, and provides opportunities for collaboration and professional growth
