An architect - urban designer by training, I ventured into the field of academics and design writing right after my post graduation from one of the most esteemed institutions of India (School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal).My enthrallment for research and academics has led me to become an academician and external juror in various departments of design in renowned universities, such as SVVV (Indore), Chandigarh University (Chandigarh), Chitkara University (Punjab) and RV University (Bangalore). In an endeavour to disseminate knowledge on obscure topics, I also helm an eponymous academic blog (mehardeepkaur.com) for architecture and design aficionados which showcases content on variegated topics in the colossal fields of design that revolve around the unification of creativity with societal values. An avid reader and researcher, I extend my love for words beyond reading onto design writing with various designers and government organizations (such as UPBTVP and UNDP).I have 3 research papers to my credit, all of which lie in the domain of sensitive urban development and are published in Scopus Indexed/peer-reviewed journals. An innovative designer at heart, I have filed 3 patents under my name. I am also empanelled with some online education platforms (such as ExamAssure and Vastukul School of Innovation) and am an active member of Punjab Rural Tourism Council, WICCI. I believe in pursing everything with Meraki, in order to live a life that is deeply fulfilling and worthwhile.
