About Mehdi Rizvi

A chemist by profession, started my career with MSD pharmaceuticals in 1975 after doing Masters in Chemistry. Later worked for cement about 23 and printing industries 22 years till my retirement in 2021 . In Canada , started first job at a gas station , and later reached the community editorial board , Toronto Star . I was selected as a member of Star’s community editorial board in 2007 ,and wrote opinion pieces regularly on cultural, educational, social and settlement challenges faced by immigrant communities in Canada . Affiliated with CERIS at York University in 2009, later got membership of Toronto Metropolitan Centre for Immigration and Settlement at TMU . Along with Toronto Star , wrote for Canadian immigrant magazine ( online n print editions ) , Straight goods news , Ambition, and Humsafar . Currently write for Rabble.ca
