I knew I wanted to develop medical technology since the day I went on a Radiology department field trip in middle school. So I went on to get a grad degree in Biomedical Engineering and had a successful career in the MedTech commercial sector. In 2018, my best friend from college who is a physician had an idea to tackle the post-operative pulmonary complications, a $10 billion per year cost to US hospitals. So we developed a simple, smart, and proprietary preventive care patient monitoring technology, and even received an FDA emergency use authorization (EUA) in 2021. That's when I left my last job to work full time on bringing our life-saving innovation to patients and care providers. This year, we kicked off a multi-center IRB-approved study and expect to receive 510K clearance by September.
