I am an experienced Turkish Language Teacher with a demonstrated history of working in the primary/secondary education industry for more than 10 years. I always had a passion for the education field. That’s why the high school attend was dedicated to training students as teachers. It was kind of a private high school and students were selected by an exam to be able to attend that high school and I was one of them.After my high school journey, not surprisingly, I got acceptance into the Teaching Language bachelor program at Marmara University. My teaching experience did start officially. During the university, I worked for a couple of years in private institutions to earn some experience and completed a 1-year internship during my senior year in a public school. My second career started as College and Career Counselor and offering 4-year expertise in advising students on relevant topics to help achieve goals. I am success-driven when determining solutions for areas in the College and Career Counseling program that need improvement. I am dedicated and respectful when working with students, parents, and administrators. To fulfill my dream, I enrolled and finished the College Advising Program in Teachers College at Columbia University and earned a College Counselor certificate. Then I thought that I should do more in college counseling and started another certificate program at UCLA Extension.I want to share one of the quotes of Confucius: “The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential…these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.” That's why I came from Turkey to the U.S. leaving my entire life, family, and friends to reach my potential.I love traveling, languages, technology, and robotics-related activities. I added some skills throughout my educational journey in the U.S. such as Microsoft Office Specialist (Word, Excel, PPT, and Outlook), Robotics team coaching (2x qualified for World Championship), and Bilingual Education. Strong education professional with a Master of Education - MEd focused on Bilingual and Multilingual Education from the American College of Education. I can't wait to start a new goal for myself.
