As we go through the fourth industrial revolution, aka Industry 4.0, adaptable leaders who place a high value on empowering teams through training and upgrading of skills at all company levels are vital to achieving a meaningful competitive advantage and long-term success.In the two decades I have spent in construction management, I have developed expertise in business management, organizational development, process improvement, and sales/marketing management. As a result, I’ve been able to help companies execute strategies to achieve operational efficiency, increase productivity, and an increase the lifecycle of their capital investment and equipment. An engineer in multiple disciplines, I also have stepped up to the forefront of innovative, high budget capital projects involving technologies that are shaping the construction industry's future, such as laser-controlled concrete levelling machines.Effective management necessitates a continuing learning process. Since major projects usually involve large teams of designers, planners, engineers, laborers, and others, defining responsibilities and structure is critical to success. No unit operates totally independent and often depend on multiple units to effectively perform their tasks. Consequently, disputes and differences are likely to arise, and managing them requires the utmost tact and diplomacy.I’m a global citizen and have lived and worked on several continents. I am enthusiastic about working with and learning from people of different cultures.
