The Civic Involvement Project aims to integrate students with the local community and its people. It involves learning about the local culture, lifestyle, ideology, history, and environment while exercising English outside the classroom. My role was to develop different awareness courses and excursions which including alternative healthy living and building friendships with learners with special needs. Students were supervised at all times and encouraged to leave their comfort zone. This helps students develop their language, social and personal skills and hopes to create a positive change in the community they live in.
