- Design a multitude of HVAC construction projects, under tight deadlines, as a core mechanical design engineer in collaboration with internal (Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection) and external (Architects, Structural, Vendor, Developers and Owners) team members using AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (REVIT/BIM)- Develop detailed engineering design and documentation which includes thermal load calculations, outline system description, specifications, equipment layout and schedules, and construction documents for projects of various sizes; from small tenant fit-outs to high-rise residential and commercial buildings- Construction administration duties which includes reviewing and processing Equipment Submittals, Shop Drawings, Request for Information (RFI), Change Orders (CO) and issuing bulletins and addenda, and attending construction meetings - Conduct field inspections and prepare subsequent detailed field inspection reports and punch lists- Research and examine building systems are in compliance with ASHREA standards and/or applicable building and mechanical codes, including NYC and international codes

- Coordinated research activities focused on development of experimental techniques and science-based computational models to study failure mechanisms of advanced materials under extreme loading conditions, such as dynamic, thermal, electrical, and shock; funded by Office of Naval Research (ONR)- Conducted Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite Element (FE) simulations, and experimental investigations on the mechanical behavior of advanced materials- Designed and fabricated a state-of-the-art experimental setup utilized in experiments of advanced material panels; used a combination of 3D CAD design (SOLIDWORKS), parts preparation using 3D printing and CNC machining, and assembly of parts, electrical components, instrumentation, cameras and sensors to build a sophisticated opto-electro-mechanical experimental setup for data acquisition- Developed an experimentally-validated methodology to indirectly measure the hydrodynamic pressure field in fluid-structure interaction problems using particle image velocimetry (PIV)- Performed Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to assure accuracy, precision, repeatability, and reproducibility of collected data- Published 9 scientific manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and 3 conference proceedings to document and present findings- Prepared annual reporting documents and presentations for ONR annual meetings- Collaborated in grant writing activities with fellow Ph.D. students and under the guidance of Ph.D. advisor
