Being an adherent of a background where the old cliché, “women’s place is only in the kitchen” still prevails, I grew up to be a trend setter for my family. It has been a typical desi norm of making daughters pursue medical and my parents expected the same. Hence, I ended up choosing medical as my initial major. When it was the time to go for a career which will decide what initials will be used before my name, I knew Dr. is not what I wanted. I define myself as a very diverse person who rejects to fit into the typical categorizations of the world and so I did not want to pour efforts into something that the rest of the world is already running after. While many around me aimed for a medical career, I embarked on a different path, driven by my love for numbers and a desire to break free from the ordinary.Even during my medical studies, my heart belonged to numbers, consistently achieving top marks in mathematical subjects. This passion led me to pursue a career in finance, specifically as a CA, despite the daunting reputation it carries. I was determined to challenge myself and prove that I could excel in this male-dominated field. My journey hasn't been easy, and I've encountered my fair share of skepticism and discouragement. However, I thrive on taking up challenging tasks and defying expectations. Beyond my professional pursuits, my experiences living in various cities and interacting with diverse communities have honed my interpersonal skills. As a result, I have friends scattered across Pakistan.In my leisure time, I'm an avid reader, particularly drawn to authors like Paulo Coelho (with his writing about life mysteries), Robert Kiyosaki (with his diverse knowledge of financial education and how one can escape from rat holes of poverty). Throughout my life, I have had a number of experiences living in different cities, studying in different schools due to my father’s relocation. This has given me a flexible personality and an interest in travelling.One of my standout skills is leadership. Throughout my academic years, I’ve been elected for a number of leadership roles (e.g. Head girl, House Captain, President Journalism Club, Class and Girl's Representative). My performance in one role was a forward ladder to step up to a bigger role which has shaped me into a confident leader who can handle greater challenges.In summary, I am an emotionally intelligent and adaptable individual with an unwavering commitment to excellence. I'm actively seeking opportunities in finance, where I can leverage my accounting expertise and excel in my field.
