Looking at Indigenous methods of rain water harvesting and its impact on the lives of women in terms of empowerment. I was based in Alwar, Rajasthan, India in a small village named 'Bhikampura.' where I was interviewing women to see if they had benefitted from the work being done by a local NGO-Tarun Bharat Sangh as well as local citizens- to harvest rain water. The intimate connections between women and water work became more apparent as the time went on because women and water are intimately linked, all water work is womens work. -Developed, tested and implemented interview questions for carrying out a feminist-based research methodology -Coded and transcribed the interviews from the local regional languages of Marwari and Hindi into English-Coordinated outreach activities in Calgary based on the research
